The Global Warming Express (GWE) is a By Kids/For Kids Think Tank Program for kids ages 8-12 run by the 501c-3 organization, The Global Warming Express.

Science, climate science, sustainable solutions, public speaking, writing, visual arts and performance (theater, singing and dance) are woven together to give the kids a platform of information and tools with which to make their voices heard.

The Program is designed to be mentored by Grownups but powered by Kids, who decide what Small Goals and Big Goals they want to accomplish.

GWE Wins Sustainable Santa Fe Award

GWE Wins Sustainable Santa Fe Award, Jane Phillips/The New Mexican

The GWE kids received the 2014 award for Youth-led Climate Action from the Santa Fe Sustainability Commission at a ceremony held at the Eldorado Hotel April 2, 2014. The award was presented by City Councilor (and GWE fan) Peter Ives, and after a speech by Genie Stevens, the kids performed for an enthusiastic crowd as the finale for a great evening.
