Our Trip to the EPA Carbon Hearings
On July 29 the EPA held hearings around the country on coal. The GWE kids were invited to testify at the hearing in Denver, so Joanna, Marino, Zubin, Ciela, and I hit the road. We got to Denver on Monday evening. After dinner we went swimming. I think the hotel pool is awesome! It was small, however it had beds! Yes, beds by the pool! They had curtains all around them.
Tuesday after breakfast we went to the hearing on the free mall bus.

When we got there we were led upstairs and given passes. We sat in the waiting room for about fifteen minutes. When we finally got into the room it was tiny. I had been imagining a HUGE room, but it was only a little bigger than our hotel room! I gave my speech and then we did our song and dance.

After that we walked to an awesome bridge. The top looked like a ship’s mast. Then we saw an airplane flying over us with a banner that read “STOP THE EPA POWER GRAB!”

After we got interviewed we went back to our hotel and we went swimming. Then it started to rain. We lay on the chairs in the circular sky bridge and we watched the rain.

Wednesday it was still stormy. So after breakfast we hung around for a bit. Then at around two we went and took a pic at the Pepsi Co. Then after lunch we hit the road.
